se.jpgI wandered through some of the older tutorials on Planet Photoshop and found this one about glowly supernova spacey text and decided to try it out.  I used a different font and added some beveling and shadow to the text in order to make it more legible. (That's just me.)  You can check it out here: http://planetphotoshop.com/sci-fi-text-effect-tut.html. Enjoy!

I found the tutorial for this eclipse image at: http://www.stevearun.com/wp23/210/tutorials-a-cool-eclipse-effect-in-photoshop/It was a lot of fun to make and the tutorial was pretty easy to follow for the most part. I added 'exquisite' to it in the font used on Disillusioned's layout image.
I enjoy doing different tutorials but it's hard to find good tutorials.  I had some issues with this one.  If you are new to photoshop and want to check out some great tutorials that are short and to the point, go visit PlanetPhotoshop.com.  Corey Barker's tutorials are seriously awesome!

A friend of mine got me some amazingly beautiful roses for my birthday and one of the first things I did was to start taking photos of them.  It took a little while to get a photo that I felt was worth editing with and I knew right away I wanted to mask it.  The roses are opening beautifully and I plan on taking more photos of them tomorrow to show off how amazing they look.  Normally I'm not a flowers kind of girl, but who am I to turn them down?

Miscellaneous: Photoshop Tutorial

Everyone who knows me should know that I absolutely adore Corey Barker over at Planet Photoshop and his tutorials.  He makes them easy to follow, even a beginner could do it, because he explains everything as if you are a bit new to photoshop.  Anyway, most of the graphics I create are simply following along with his tutorials.  With this one I followed the Bourne Legacy Poster tutorial: Link. I hope you have as much fun with it as I did.

First, a little background.  A coworkerfriend of mine had this calendar for 2011 and on the opposite side it would have oddball sayings.  I think they had to do with keyboards but I am not really sure.  The only reason I think it had to do with keyboards is because it had an image of a QWERTY keyboard layout outlined underneath each oddball saying.  As soon as I saw this one, I knew I had to have it.  I actually have the page from the calendar hanging at work and have taken a photo of it before, as well.  This time I decided to make my own image.

The brush used for the eye was found at Aethereality.Net.  Enjoy.

Today I added to the logo and flyer created for Ascano Photography by creating her a personalized invoice.  This invoice is created in Excel with her own logo and (of course) all her contact information right on it.  The great thing about it though is that she can fill it in on the computer or print a few (color or black and white, both will look great) and hand-write them out.  She might even be able to have a personalized pad printed out somewhere to put in her bag.

Miscellaneous: Love

On Facebook there are these lovely graphics that people post to their walls on all sort of things. One of those things lately that I’ve been seeing have to do with love and relationships. I saw one that I liked but thought it could have used some pizzazz. I was playing around and came up with this:

Merry Christmas

I’ve been on the search for a new wallpaper for weeks now. I wanted something wicked or funny (or even better, wickedly funny) and ended up with something quite different. First I changed over to a wallpaper titled ‘here kitty kitty’ (Link - opens in new window) because I thought it reminded me of Contemplating Reiko over at TaintedInk.com (beware: adult humor!). Then I got bored and made myself one featuring a Shadow and the logo for Organization XIII from Kingdom Hearts 2. It was ok, but still didn’t make me think ‘wow’.

I started the search again and found this gorgeous photo of the sky with clouds and light and just amazing beauty (Direct Link - opens in new window). This was my wallpaper until I found this black background with a butterfly brush ‘splattered’ in the center. I liked it but not enough to make it my wallpaper. (Direct Link - will open in new window)

So I got creative and through blending options created the wallpaper below, which definitely makes me say ‘oh yeah’ when I see it. Resolution: 1280x800. Enjoy!

And now for those who wish to have a darker version…

Miscellaneous: Poster

I created this poster for a friend who has started selling Scentsy products. Mindy needed a poster for an outdoor show and decided to see what I could throw together for her. The original size is 20x30 (in inches) so if you click on the image below it may take some time to load. This is a real poster for a real person and a real business (as is the DanceSpace DVD cover) and if you’re looking to make your home flame-free and beautifully scented, she’s the one to contact. Enjoy!
